About the Role
Our client, a leading provider of products within the pet and pet food industry, is seeking an experienced National Sales Manager to lead their sales efforts across South Africa. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute national sales strategies to increase market share within the sector.
- Manage and nurture relationships with key retailers, wholesalers, distributors, and established chains.
- Negotiate pricing, promotions, and supply agreements to ensure long-term partnerships.
- Identify new business opportunities and expand national distribution channels.
- Monitor industry trends and identify opportunities for new product introductions.
- Lead and support regional sales representatives or agents by setting targets and providing training.
- Prepare sales forecasts, budgets, and performance reports for management.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a National Sales Manager, Sales Manager, or Key Account Manager.
- Significant experience within the FMCG retail/Pet food/agriculture sectors.
- Fluency in both Afrikaans and English is essential.
- Strong understanding of retail, wholesale, and distribution channels within South Africa.
- Existing relationships with major retail chains, agricultural stores, and distributors is highly preferred.
- Valid driver’s licence and willingness to travel nationally.
