Job Description:

• Manage local and international tax compliance, including income tax, VAT, withholding taxes, dividends tax, carbon tax, and transfer pricing.
• Develop strategies to reduce global tax burden while ensuring legal compliance.
• Ensure compliance with tax laws in all regions, including tax returns, filings, and local requirements.
• Oversee transfer pricing analysis and provide advice on new business ventures.
• Handle local and international tax audits.
• Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual tax reporting, including deferred tax.
• Stay updated on tax laws and adjust strategies to minimize future liabilities.
• Advise management on tax impacts of business decisions.
• Liaise with tax authorities, consultants, and auditors.
• Prepare and submit R&D tax incentive applications and other financial incentives.
• Update tax policies and communicate changes to stakeholders.
• Manage and develop reporting staff.
• Undertake ad hoc projects as needed

 
Qualification, Skills and Competencies Required:

• CA(SA) or SAIT accreditation is essential
• 5+ years post article experience in tax
• Strong knowledge of Tax Accounting, IFRS, Transfer Pricing and International Tax
• Problem solving skills and managerial experience.
