About the Role

The Camp Manager plays a crucial role in delivering exceptional guest experiences at our Zululand camp, tailoring hospitality services to cater to a diverse range of guests. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring seamless integration between camp systems, facilities, activities, and staff to create a memorable stay.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure the highest quality of experience for school groups and guests
  • Lead by example in providing exceptional hospitality service
  • Display an exceptional appreciation and sensitivity to the environment
  • Prioritize guest, staff, and wildlife safety at all times
  • Undertake continuous education of self and other members of staff
  • Achieve service excellence through teamwork
  • Act as an active contributor to the BGR team
  • Put in extra effort when necessary to ensure best possible guest experience
  • Monitor and handle guest feedback
  • Maintain vehicle safety and driving speed
  • Day-to-day management of facilities and camps to maintain high standards

Requirements

  • Tertiary qualifications in Eco-tourism, Hospitality, Game Lodge, Tourism or equivalent
  • Valid Driver’s license
  • Working understanding of the Food & Beverage department
  • Minimum 5 years traceable work experience in a bush lodge environment, managerial role
  • Excellent understanding of housekeeping and maintenance procedures
  • Awareness of current trends within the food and lodge industries

  • Package: 1 bedroom cottage on site fully furnished
  • 1 meal a day
  • 3/1 cycle CTC R30kpm (negotiable)
