Job Summary

Are you a seasoned Financial Modelling Specialist with deep roots in the mining industry? Were looking for an exceptional talent to step into a strategic role where your expertise will directly shape the financial future of major mining operations. This role is tailored for a middle- to senior-level professional with at least 7 years of hands-on financial modelling experience in the mining sector , and a strong background in financial analysis, forecasting, and infrastructure finance. What Youll Do: Design, develop, and refine complex financial models for both short-term budgets and long-term life-of-mine plans. Collaborate with operational and cross-functional teams to benchmark, analyze, and validate key inputs and assumptions. Deliver accurate and insightful forecasts, scenario analyses, and trend interpretations to support high-impact decisions. Provide actionable recommendations on cost optimization and performance improvements. Lead the creation of comprehensive financial reports and investor-ready presentations. Engage directly with internal stakeholders, investors, lenders, legal teams, and Government entities to support project and funding initiatives. Support business development efforts including tender processes and strategic project evaluation. What Youll Bring: A BSc in Finance, Economics, or a related discipline (BBusSc or BCom in Financial Mathematics, Accounting, or Statistics is advantageous). Proven track record in financial modelling with strong exposure to mining and infrastructure finance. Advanced Excel and financial modelling skills with an unwavering attention to numerical accuracy. Sound knowledge of financial regulations, accounting standards, taxation, and the mining industry. Exceptional analytical thinking, communication skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. Experience in strategic decision support and interacting with senior stakeholders across functions. Job Summary

Are you a numbers-driven strategist with a passion for mining finance? Were looking for a Financial Modelling Specialist who can turn data into powerful insights and build robust models that shape high-stakes decisions across the business. This is your chance to make a tangible impact in a dynamic industry while working with key stakeholders, from investors to government agencies. Duties: Build and refine short-term and long-term financial models (including life-of-mine models). Partner with operations to conduct benchmarking and process analyses. Analyze budgets, forecasts, income statements, and key financial data. Deliver actionable insights for cost-saving and performance improvements. Create reports that highlight financial risks and opportunities for leadership. Forecast future performance through in-depth financial and business studies. Maintain models that meet investor and sponsor standards for infrastructure and project finance. Support new business bids, project financing, and strategic investment planning. Represent the company in meetings with financiers, legal teams, and regulators. Qualifications: BSc in Finance, Economics, or a related field. BBusSc or BCom in Financial Mathematics, Accounting, or Statistics (advantageous). Skills Required: Detail-obsessed with a sharp analytical mind. A confident communicator who can engage all levels of stakeholders. Independent, solutions-oriented, and proactive. Passionate about turning complex data into clear business value. Experience: 7 years of hands-on financial modelling experience, ideally in mining. Deep expertise in budgeting, forecasting, and data analysis. Strong grasp of financial regulations, accounting principles, and tax compliance. Excel wizardry with top-notch modelling and reporting skills. Key Responsibilities: Develop short-term (annual budget) and long-term (life-of-mine) financial models. Conduct bench-marking and process analysis in collaboration with operational teams. Analyze and update financial data, including budgets, income statements, and forecasts. Identify trends, assess risks, and provide insights to optimize business performance. Structure reports on financial status and risk to support key decision-making. Maintain and refine financial models to align with investor and financing requirements. Assist with strategic planning, investment decisions, and business development initiatives. Work closely with senior stakeholders, including investors, financiers, and government agencies. What You Need to Succeed: Mandatory Qualifications: BSc Degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field. Proven experience as a Financial Analyst or Financial Modeller with strong forecasting skills. In-depth knowledge of financial regulations, accounting principles, taxation, and mining-related financial matters. Strong analytical skills with a sharp eye for accuracy and numerical proficiency. Preferred Qualifications & Experience: Bachelor of Business Science (BBusSc) or BCom in Financial Mathematics, Accounting, or Statistics. Background in project and infrastructure finance , particularly in the mining industry. 7 years of financial modelling experience, ideally in mining. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint for complex financial analysis. Exceptional problem-solving skills and a proactive, independent work approach. Job Summary

If so, we have the perfect role for you Why This Role?: Work on cutting-edge financial models that influence high-impact business decisions. Collaborate with top-tier finance professionals in a fast-paced, strategic environment . Be a key player in optimizing costs, forecasting trends, and driving profitability. Opportunity to work in Sandton , a prime financial hub. What Youll Be Doing: Designing and refining powerful financial models for short-term and long-term planning. Analyzing key financial data to provide strategic insights and recommendations . Identifying trends and risks to shape the future of business performance . Engaging with stakeholders to enhance financial decision-making and efficiency . Supporting new business development and high-level financial planning. What Were Looking For: Finance, Economics, or related Degree (BSc, BCom, or BBusSc preferred). 7 years of hands-on experience in financial modelling – bonus if its in the mining industry Expert in Excel, forecasting, and financial reporting . A sharp analytical thinker who loves problem-solving and optimizing performance. Strong communicator with a passion for numbers and strategy .
