Our client is looking for a Manager or Assistant Manager to join their team in Yzerfontein. The venue is a well-known beachfront events destination celebrated for its warm hospitality and exceptional guest experiences. The ideal candidate will be hands-on, adaptable, and capable of overseeing a multi-functional team while ensuring smooth operations across all departments, including events, hospitality, and maintenance. Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the event manager, marketing manager, receptionist, kitchen, bar, and cleaning teams

• Cultivate a motivated, customer-oriented team culture

• Handle recruitment, training, performance reviews, and scheduling

• Ensure smooth day-to-day operations across all departments

• Uphold high standards of cleanliness, safety, and service quality

• Maintain relationships with vendors and suppliers

• Coordinate with the events team to ensure seamless event execution

• Resolve guest queries and concerns professionally

• Support in event planning and logistics as needed

• Manage budgets, monitor expenses, and drive cost-effective practices

• Provide financial reports and collaborate on revenue strategies

• Work with marketing to boost bookings and brand visibility

• Identify and implement opportunities for business and guest experience improvements

• Oversee venue maintenance and address issues promptly

Requirements:

• Experience in hospitality, event management, or a related leadership role

• Excellent organizational, communication, and multitasking skills

• Budgeting and financial management proficiency

• Proven team leadership and collaboration abilities

• Flexible availability, including weekends and evenings

• Passion for guest service and problem-solving
