Hub Accountant
Report to: Operations
Seniority Level: Mid-Career (3 – 5 yrs exp)
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Fully qualified BCom Accountant with post grad qualifications
- Stay aligned with IFRS updates and implement changes
- Monitor financial impacts of operations and ensure compliance
- Collaborate with stakeholders on accounting guidelines
- Approve and release journals for allocated Ledger areas
- Provide monthly accounting governance
- Support timely reporting of Regional company and Branch
- Monitor ledger account reconciliations
- Perform quarterly Balance Sheet reviews
- Implement changes to IFRS and local guidelines
- Complete projects on financial process improvements
External and Internal Contacts:
- Internal: Accounting teams, Business unit Commercials, global Accounting Service Centres
- External: Auditors, Banks, Service Providers
What You Bring:
- 3-5+ years relevant experience
- BCom Accounting, CIMA, or equivalent qualification
- Excellent working knowledge of SAP and IFRS
- Ability to analyse processes and improve efficiency
- Strong drive for self-development and challenging tasks
- Ability to work in a team and meet reporting deadlines
