About the Role
Our client, a leading mining operation based in Kathu, Northern Cape, is seeking an experienced Diesel Mechanic to join their team. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient operation and maintenance of our equipment.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintenance of equipment
- Ensuring vehicles under area responsibility are in good condition
- Inspecting vehicles and analyzing raised faults
- Participation in a standby team for breakdown maintenance
- Maintaining customer relations and good housekeeping
- Equipment inspection and supervision of people, ensuring compliance with safety, health, environment, and quality (SHEQ) standards
Requirements
- Grade 12
- Certificate in Diesel Mechanic (trade)
- Preference given to NQF4 qualified artisans
- Minimum of 5 years post-qualification experience as a Diesel Mechanic
- Experience with CAT (D10T2) is advantageous
- Minimum of two (2) years operational Earth Moving Equipment experience
Qualifications
- Certificate in Diesel Mechanic (trade)
- Grade 12
