About the Role
Our client is seeking an experienced Sprinkler Design Engineer to join their multidisciplinary team in the Netherlands. This role offers the opportunity to design and develop comprehensive fire protection systems for diverse projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards while delivering innovative and safe solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop fire protection and detection systems for commercial and industrial buildings.
- Prepare detailed fire detection drawings, piping layouts, wiring diagrams, and 3D models using AutoCAD 2D/3D, Inventor, and relevant software.
- Conduct flow and pressure calculations and estimate material requirements.
- Manage projects from conception to completion, including site inspections and stakeholder communication.
- Ensure designs comply with quality standards, ISO standards, and engineering regulations.
- Collaborate with engineers and multidisciplinary teams to identify and resolve design issues.
- Present and refine designs throughout the development process.
Requirements
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Minimum 3 years’ relevant experience in fire protection and sprinkler system design.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD 2D/3D, Inventor, and other design software.
- Strong experience in flow and pressure calculations.
- Knowledge of ISO and engineering regulations related to fire protection.
- Excellent communication skills in English and Afrikaans; ability to work with engineers and lead multidisciplinary projects.
Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
