About the Role
We are seeking a highly talented and experienced Senior Technologist/Architect to join our team in Cape Town. As a Senior Technologist/Architect, you will be responsible for leading the technical and architectural design, development, and implementation of various projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the technical design and architecture of projects, ensuring they align with the organization’s strategic goals and objectives.
- Provide expertise and guidance on all technical aspects of design and implementation, including software development, infrastructure, security, and scalability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project requirements are understood and met.
- Mentor and coach junior team members on best practices and technologies.
- Implement and enforce coding standards and best practices.
- Conduct code reviews and provide feedback to team members.
- Stay current with industry trends, technologies, and methodologies, and make recommendations for improvements.
- Participate in the recruitment of technical talent.
- Work closely with project managers and stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
Requirements
- Must be a registered Professional Architect or Senior Architectural Technologist.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a Senior Technologist/Architect role.
- Strong expertise in software development, systems architecture, and database design.
- Proficiency in a variety of programming languages and technologies.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Experience in project management and Agile methodologies is a plus.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture.
