About the Role
Hire Resolve is searching for an Electrical Engineer to join our Clients team in Cape Town or Johannesburg. The ideal candidate should possess a minimum of 10 years of experience in the building industry, with qualifications in civil engineering, building science, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or Quantity Surveying (QS). Potential candidates with less experience will also be considered. This position offers the opportunity to work on a dynamic project at the intersection of building and industrial construction, with a focus on managing mechanical and electrical installations.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborating with architects, contractors to determine electrical needs and specifications
- Preparing and reviewing technical drawings, specifications, and documentation
- Performing electrical calculations and simulations
- Testing and troubleshooting electrical systems and components
- Ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards
- Managing project timelines and budgets
- Mentoring and providing guidance to junior engineers and technicians
Requirements
- Qualifications in Electrical Engineering or related field
- Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred
- Minimum 10 years of experience in electrical engineering
- Strong knowledge of electrical design principles and standards
- Experience with electrical simulations and calculations software
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities
- Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field (if applicable)
