About the Role
The Paarl Retail Store Manager is a key position responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our retail store. The successful candidate will have extensive experience in managing retail environments, with a proven track record of success in driving sales growth and improving customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage stock levels and ordering processes to ensure adequate inventory
- Maintain high standards of store cleanliness and HACCP compliance
- Lead and manage a team of employees, providing training and development opportunities as needed
- Implement effective merchandising strategies to drive sales and increase product visibility
- Monitor cash handling procedures to minimize losses and maintain secure cash management practices
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years experience in retail management or leadership roles
- Prior knowledge and experience with inventory management systems such as ERP and Meat Matrix
- Understanding of FMCG environment, retail consumer behavior, and purchasing trends
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with proficiency in MS Office Suite
- Demonstratable analytical skills, including understanding of income statements, cash flows, and basic financial systems
Qualifications
- Grade 12 Diploma or Degree in Retail or Business or related qualification (advantageous)
