About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Manager to join our team at the Safari Lodge in Bela-Bela. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the maintenance and upkeep of various infrastructure, including roads, fences, buildings, and facilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintenance and upgrades to the reserve boundary fence, as well as to any internal fencing.
• Maintaining and upgrading all roads on the reserve.
• Responsibility for workshop management and maintenance of the fleet, comprising of several vehicles, 2 tractors and a TLB.
• Responsibility for the maintenance and improvement of all buildings and associated infrastructure, including boreholes, plumbing and electrical systems, and waste management.
• Ensuring adherence to the OHS Act.
• Fire management including firebreaks, controlled burns and wildfire suppression.

Requirements

• Extensive experience in a similar maintenance leadership role, preferably in hospitality or lodge environments.
• Technical expertise in plumbing, welding, carpentry, refrigeration/air-conditioning, mechanical and electrical systems.
• Experience in project management (advantageous).
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to multitask, work under pressure, and maintain composure.
• Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, evenings, and holidays.
• Valid Code 8 driver’s license.
