About the Role
Hire Resolve’s Client, a leading meat products manufacturer based in Cape Town, Western Cape, is seeking an experienced Finance Operations Manager to join their team. With a workforce of 500-1,000 employees, the company serves a wide range of clients in the food production and distribution industry, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the financial operations
- Manage financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting to support strategic decision-making
- Monitor and optimize cash flow, working capital, and cost management
- Supervise accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger functions
- Ensure timely and accurate financial reconciliations and month-end closures
- Collaborate with supply chain and production teams to improve financial efficiency
- Implement and enhance financial controls and risk management procedures
- Drive process improvements and automation in financial operations
- Liaise with external auditors, tax authorities, and regulatory bodies
- Lead and develop the finance team, ensuring continuous improvement and professional growth
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field (CIMA/CA(SA) preferred)
- 5+ years of experience in financial management, preferably in the FMCG or manufacturing industry
- Strong knowledge of financial reporting, tax regulations, and cost control strategies
- Proficiency in ERP systems and advanced Excel skills
- Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
