About the Role
R.A.W. GROUP is seeking an experienced Senior Payroll Administrator and HR Assistant to join our team in George, Western Cape. As a key member of our payroll and HR functions, you will be responsible for managing multiple entities with 250+ employees, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements, and providing exceptional support to our staff. Key Responsibilities
- Full payroll function: processing monthly & weekly payroll, capturing employee data, checking payroll variances, and preparing payroll files for finance
- Dealing with staff queries and resolving issues in a timely manner
- Completing statutory returns and handling of statutory payments
- Managing garnishees & maintenance orders
- Preparing annual and sick leave registers
- Maintaining pension and medical aid/insurance schedules and contributions
Requirements
- 4 to 5 years’ experience in full function payroll for 250+ employees
- Strong understanding of statutory payments and returns
- Valid driver’s license
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple responsibilities efficiently
Qualifications
- Matric/Grade 12
- Post-secondary education in HR, Finance, or Payroll (if applicable)
- Sage VIP knowledge (non-negotiable)
