About the Role
Sea Harvest Corporation Ltd, a leading seafood, aquaculture, agri-processing and branded Fast-moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) business, is seeking an experienced Rigger Operator to join our Fittershop – Engineering team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for contributing to the efficient assembly and installation of marine equipment and structures by specializing in the precise and safe positioning of heavy machinery, components, and ship modules using various rigging techniques and equipment.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out rigging and lifting operations for machinery, equipment and materials
- Assist the chargehand in effectively ensuring that work conditions on the vessel are safe to carry out operations
- Provide clear and accurate updates throughout ongoing projects to the Artisan/ Chargehand/ Foreman
- Report to Artisan or Chargehand upon completing the job to conduct testings for defects
- Safely operate and maintain company equipment
- Assist with general site duties as required
- Perform a comprehensive inspection of all spares stored in the inventory room
- Effectively perform hands-on evaluations of defective tools
Requirements
- 3 years diesel fitting experience within marine industry
- Proven experience as a Rigger Operator
- Trade Test Qualification
Qualifications
- Completed trade test qualification in rigger operation
- Relevant trade qualifications or experience (please specify)
