About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Personal Assistant to provide executive secretarial, administrative and office management support to the Director of Vice-Chancellor Learning and Teaching at Nelson Mandela University. The ideal candidate will possess excellent problem-solving skills, maintain confidentiality and professionalism, and have extensive experience in Ms Office Word, Ms-Excel, Ms-PowerPoint; ITS User skills; Finance iEnabler. They will also be able to effectively communicate with internal and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide secretarial support for meetings chaired by the DVC: Learning and Teaching
- Receive, assist and process enquiries from all stakeholders
- Manage the diary of the DVC: Learning and Teaching
- Responsible for all travel, accommodation and venue arrangements
- Liaise with internal and external Higher Education sector stakeholders
- Provide organisational and administrative assistance for conferences, seminars, as well as training and development programmes initiated by the office of the DVC: Learning and Teaching
Requirements
- M3 or relevant NQF level 6 qualification
- At least 3 to 5 years work-related experience in higher education
- Experience as a personal assistant or executive secretary is an added advantage
Qualifications
- Completed M3 or relevant NQF level 6 qualification
