About the Role
Were hiring a Compliance Officer to design, implement, and mature an enterprise-wide compliance framework that keeps the business ahead of regulatory, legal, and ethical obligations. Youll lead the compliance monitoring plan, drive training and awareness, and turn regulatory change into practical controls the business can live with.
Reporting alongside executive stakeholders, youll translate complex requirements (from King IV to POPIA and OSH) into clear policies, controls, and reporting giving leaders the visibility to act fast and do the right thing, every time.

What Youll Do

Own and evolve the Compliance Risk Management Framework; align to King IV and other governance standards.

Design and run the annual compliance monitoring plan; conduct risk assessments and targeted audits.

Maintain the compliance risk register; map obligations to risks and embed preventative controls.

Track, investigate, and report breaches and emerging themes to executives; drive remedial actions.

Lead compliance training and awareness across the business (induction and refreshers).

Monitor regulatory change (local & international) and coordinate timely business adaptation.

Oversee adherence to key regulations: labour, POPIA/data privacy, road traffic & transport, ICASA, and OSH.

Govern internal policies: Code of Conduct, ABC, Conflicts, Whistleblowing, Gifts & Hospitality.

Coordinate contractual compliance obligations (e.g., B-BBEE, Competition Commission) and track milestones.

Act as primary contact for regulators and auditors; prepare clear, timely reports.
What You Bring

A recognised professional compliance designation.
-
5+ years in compliance/risk/audit with 2+ years at supervisory/manager level.

Proven experience building and implementing a Compliance Risk Management Framework.

Strong knowledge of OSH, ESG frameworks, and corporate compliance standards.

Sector familiarity in logistics/transport/courier (advantageous).

Leadership traits: decisive, fair, collaborative, tech-savvy, and change-ready.
