About the Role
Galinco Risk Services, part of the TWK Group, is seeking an experienced Broker Manager to lead and manage our insurance broker portfolio. This role involves driving new business growth, expanding the broker network, and developing strategic initiatives to optimize the portfolio. The successful candidate will have a strong commercial acumen, strategic thinking, and hands-on involvement in problem-solving, renewals, and portfolio optimization.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a team of brokers
- Drive new business acquisition with clear growth targets linked to broker performance
- Develop and implement strategic plans to expand the broker network, including identifying new markets and sourcing new brokers
- Provide direction on where and how the portfolio can grow sustainably
- Conduct performance reviews, coaching, and mentoring to support broker development
- Oversee commission structures and incentive frameworks to drive results
- Build and maintain strong, long-term client relationships
- Act as an escalation point for complex client and broker-related issues
- Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders to ensure renewals are completed accurately and timeously
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Risk Management, or Insurance (advantageous)
- RE5, RE1, and relevant FAIS credits
- NQF Level 4 or 5 in Insurance
- Minimum of 5 years experience in the insurance industry
- At least 3 years experience managing brokers or sales teams
- Strong track record in driving business growth against measurable targets
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Business, Marketing, Risk Management, or Insurance (advantageous)
- RE5, RE1, and relevant FAIS credits
- NQF Level 4 or 5 in Insurance
