Job Description
Location: Johannesburg, South Africa
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Project Coordinator to join our client’s team in Johannesburg. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and coordinating projects from initiation to completion, ensuring that all project deliverables are met on time and within budget. The Project Coordinator will work closely with various stakeholders, including project managers, team members, and clients, to ensure effective communication and coordination throughout the project lifecycle.
Responsibilities:
- Create and maintain project schedules, timelines, and budgets.
- Monitor project progress and track project milestones to ensure deliverables are met on time.
- Coordinate project resources, including team members, equipment, and materials.
- Communicate with stakeholders to provide updates on project status and address any issues or concerns.
- Prepare and present project reports to management and clients as needed.
- Assist in the development of project plans, including scope, objectives, and timelines.
- Coordinate project meetings, including scheduling, agenda preparation, and meeting minutes.
- Identify and mitigate project risks and issues to ensure successful project delivery.
- Support the project manager in day-to-day project management tasks.
Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in Project Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Project Coordinator or similar role.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Microsoft Project, Asana).
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- PMP certification is a plus.
