About the Role
We are seeking an experienced General Manager to lead our operations in Germiston. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing daily operations, tender management, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily operations all round.
- Oversee the processing of tenders from initial submission to final approval, ensuring that all aspects, including pricing and specifications, are meticulously handled.
- Maintain a strong understanding of quality control (QC) processes. This involves reviewing QC data books, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and implementing necessary improvements.
- Lead and motivate the team, fostering a positive work environment. This includes setting performance goals, conducting evaluations, and providing training and development opportunities.
- Develop and manage budgets for various departments, ensuring that financial targets are met and identifying areas for cost reduction.
- Collaborate with other executives to develop and implement strategic plans aimed at increasing efficiency and profitability.
- Build and maintain relationships with suppliers and vendors to ensure the timely delivery of materials and services.
- Ensure that all operations comply with local and international regulations regarding safety, health, and environmental standards.
Requirements
- 3+ years of management experience in a similar role
- Proven track record of successfully managing daily operations and leading teams
- Strong understanding of quality control processes and regulatory compliance
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Business Management, Administration, or related field.
