About the Role
We are seeking an experienced IT Systems Manager to join our team in Cape Town. As a key member of our operations, you will be responsible for overseeing and maintaining our office network and all connectivity infrastructure. Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and maintain the office network and all connectivity infrastructure
- Ensure robust data security and compliance with best-practice standards
- Provide and maintain appropriate hardware and software tools for all staff
- Deliver timely and effective technical support to resolve issues as they arise
- Manage technical resources and internal/external support services
- Ensure system stability and rapid recovery in the event of downtime
- Manage and maintain relationships with technology vendors and suppliers
- Plan and control the technical budget in alignment with company objectives
- Administer system and physical access control
- Ensure the security of the office environment and IT assets
- Develop, implement, and maintain risk management and disaster recovery plans
Requirements
- Matric, Information Technology Degree or related certification
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar role
- Managing approximately 50 computer users
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work well in a team as well as independently
- Friendly and supportive demeanour to work within a creative team
- Interest in AI and programming advantageous
