About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Bookkeeper to join our team in Bloemfontein. As a seasoned bookkeeping professional, you will be responsible for managing all financial aspects of the company, including preparing tax returns, managing payroll and VAT, and maintaining accurate financial records.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare monthly bookkeeping functions including Asset register, Tax Register, Inventory, Debtors, Creditors, Bank Recon, Cashbooks, etc.
- Perform intercompany loans and transfers, Balance Sheet recons, Profit & Loss reports
- Process Year end Journals, Auditing Assistance, Setup of Audit pack and Preparation of Audit files
- Oversee Debtors and Creditors Reconciliations as per Age Analysis
- Calculate and complete Provisional and Income Tax Returns E-filing Administration Loading of various payments, Submitting supporting documents
- Complete COIDA (Workmens Compensation Return of Earnings submissions)
- Handle all SARS related Enquiries and Audits
Requirements
- Pastel Evolution software proficiency
- VIP Payroll experience
- Advanced knowledge of Excel Formulas including Pivot Tables etc.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field is an advantage but not mandatory
