Maintenance Technician/Handyman Boutique Hotel Sandton, Joburg Salary to be discussed (Live in Position) We are seeking a skilled and reliable Maintenance Technician to join our team. This role is essential to ensuring our property remains beautifully maintained, safe, and fully operational at all times, delivering the exceptional guest experience we are known for. Key Responsibilities Conduct daily maintenance checks across the hotel and villa Carry out preventative maintenance schedules and respond to urgent repairs Attend to electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and general daily maintenance tasks Maintain all equipment, tools, and machinery in good working order Oversee contractors and service providers when required Ensure compliance with health & safety standards Support the hotel team with any facility-related needs Maintain accurate maintenance logs, reports, and inventory levels Be able to call suppliers to enquire about availability on tools, equipment etc… Requirements Proven experience as a Maintenance Technician/Handyman in the Hospitality Industry Strong skills in plumbing, electrical work, carpentry, and general repairs Ability to troubleshoot and solve problems independently Valid driver’s licence Should be able to use a computer (semi-skilled) Reliable, responsible, and able to work without constant supervision Professional appearance and a genuine, guest-oriented attitude.
