Job Description
Duties & Responsibilities
- Provide overall strategic leadership and direction for the Comminution Division, aligned with business objectives
- Drive revenue growth, profitability, and margin improvement across capital equipment, aftermarket, and ancillary products
- Deliver approved budgets, forecasts, and resource plans while maintaining disciplined cash flow and risk management
- Oversee sales strategy, tendering, pricing, and contract approval to ensure commercially sound and competitive offerings
- Lead market positioning through product development, localisation, innovation, and differentiation
- Provide engineering oversight across product design, application engineering, quality assurance, and ISO 9001 compliance
- Support and monitor project delivery to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to specification
- Act as senior escalation point for key customer, technical, or commercial issues
- Lead, mentor, and develop departmental managers and senior staff, driving performance and accountability
- Ensure compliance with legal, health and safety, environmental, and governance requirements
- Identify and mitigate operational, commercial, and technical risks within the division
Experience & Qualifications
- Engineering degree
- Business or management qualification advantageous
- Minimum of 7 years senior technical and leadership experience within the mining or heavy engineering sector
- Strong commercial, financial, contract, and risk management capability
- Proven experience leading capital equipment sales, tendering, and complex engineering projects
- Deep understanding of comminution equipment, applications, or similar heavy industrial products
- Demonstrated ability to lead multi-disciplinary teams and drive strategic execution
- Valid driver’s licence and willingness to travel locally and internationally
