About the Role
A leading Fintech company is seeking a creative UX Designer to simplify complex digital journeys and design intuitive user experiences across web, mobile apps, and WhatsApp tools.
Key Responsibilities
- Design user-centric wireframes, flows, and journeys for web, mobile, and WhatsApp platforms.
- Conduct user research and usability testing to uncover needs, pain points, and feedback.
- Translate research findings into actionable design insights.
- Facilitate internal design workshops and feedback sessions.
- Develop accessible and intuitive designs for non-digital-native users.
- Collaborate with product, engineering, marketing, and operations teams from concept to launch.
- Deliver detailed UX documentation, prototypes, and visual assets.
- Partner with BBBs field teams to validate designs with the Sales Force and end users.
- Create personas and journey maps based on real user behaviors and limitations.
- Maintain visual consistency and usability across platforms in line with brand guidelines.
- Champion accessible design for low-literacy or first-time tech users.
- Contribute to onboarding experiences and support content to drive user adoption.
Requirements
- Degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Psychology, or related field.
- 3+ years of professional UX design experience with a strong portfolio showcasing impact.
- Experience in fintech, telecommunications, e-commerce, or customer service tools.
- Solid knowledge of human-centered design and usability principles.
- Experience designing for multilingual, mobile-first, and low-data environments.
- Understanding of WhatsApp chatbot flows and interfaces.
- Experience with user testing in low-resource or offline environments (advantageous).
- Familiarity with accessibility and inclusive design in South African contexts.
