About the Role

Hire Resolve’s client is seeking a Senior Network Engineer to support their network infrastructure by implementing, maintaining, and troubleshooting systems. The ideal candidate will provide second-level support to the Help Desk and regional administrators, requiring expertise in operating systems, networking, and security.

Key Responsibilities

  • Network Provider Liaison: Work with global providers to enhance JAS Worldwide Network.
  • Security Policy Management: Build, configure, and audit firewall and SASE security policies.
  • Security Posture Improvement: Enhance global security through segmentation and standardization.
  • Policy Communication: Communicate and audit network policies to remote offices.
  • Routing/Switching Consistency: Ensure global consistency and troubleshoot issues.
  • Device Configuration: Configure and manage routers, firewalls, and switches.
  • Disaster Recovery Planning: Configure and document failover/disaster recovery plans.
  • Network Monitoring: Ensure and document network logging and monitoring systems.
  • Incident Tracking: Log incidents and resolutions, contributing to a knowledge base.
  • Application Testing Support: Assist with testing new software releases.
  • Software/Hardware Expertise: Maintain expertise in standard software and hardware.
  • User Training: Provide individual and group instruction on equipment and software.
  • Project Support: Assist with project information and provide updates to the Network Manager.

Minimum Requirements

  • Self-Management: Ability to work independently and deliver on projects.
  • Technical Aptitude: Thirst for learning new technologies and adopting new approaches.
  • Logical Reasoning: Ability to solve complex problems and understand abstract concepts.
  • English Proficiency: Fluent in written and spoken English.
  • Communication Skills: Clear communication, both verbal and written, on a technical level.
  • Bachelor’s Degree: In Business Administration or Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
  • Technical Documentation: Ability to read, interpret, and write technical documents.
  • Mathematical Skills: Proficiency in basic arithmetic and calculations.
  • Networking Expertise: Advanced knowledge of telecommunications and data networks.
  • Coordination Skills: Ability to manage multiple projects and coordinate with various teams.
  • Technology Proficiency: Expertise in project management, database, presentation, and word processing software.
  • Relevant Certifications: Cisco, Palo Alto, or MS Azure certifications.
  • SDWAN/SASE Experience: (Plus)
