About the Role

Hire Resolve is seeking a dynamic and dedicated Underwriter specializing in Short-Term Personal Lines Insurance to join their esteemed team in Johannesburg. The successful candidate will be responsible for evaluating and analyzing insurance applications, assessing risk factors, and determining premium rates.

Key Responsibilities

Evaluate and analyze insurance applications for personal lines policies
Assess risk factors and determine premium rates
Review and approve policy changes and endorsements
Communicate with brokers and clients to provide underwriting decisions and recommendations
Maintain accurate underwriting records and documentation
Stay up-to-date on industry developments and regulations
Collaborate with other departments to ensure efficient and effective underwriting processes

Requirements

Must have a valid RE1 qualification
Class of Business in Short-term Insurance Personal Lines
NQF 4/5 in Short-Term insurance
At least 2 years of experience in underwriting personal lines insurance in the short-term insurance industry
Strong knowledge of insurance policies, regulations, and industry trends
