About the Role
The Manor is seeking a warm, polished and highly organised Front of House Receptionist to join our team in Franschhoek. This guest-facing role requires someone who loves hospitality, thinks on their feet, and is happy to support across departments when needed.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver a friendly, professional welcome and check-in/check-out experience
- Manage guest communications (phone, email, WhatsApp) promptly and accurately
- Handle reservations, payments, invoicing and guest account queries
- Provide concierge-style assistance (local recommendations, bookings, transport, special requests)
- Ensure the reception area and guest touchpoints are immaculate and well presented
- Coordinate with housekeeping, maintenance, and management to resolve guest needs quickly
- Assist other departments when needed (e.g., breakfast service support, turndown assistance, admin tasks)
- Maintain accurate logs, handovers, and incident reporting between shifts
Requirements
- Lives in Franschhoek or very close by (reliable daily transport is essential)
- Willing and able to work varied shift hours (early/late shifts, weekends, and public holidays)
- Excellent spoken and written English (additional languages are a bonus)
- Confident with computers and basic admin (emails, bookings, POS / PMS systems)
- Strong guest-service mindset with a calm, professional manner under pressure
- High attention to detail, punctual, trustworthy, and well-presented
- Able to be flexible and assist in other areas of the Manor when required
