About the Role
We are seeking an enthusiastic Barman to join our team at a wine estate in Franschhoek. As a key member of our hospitality team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional guest experiences and creating classic and innovative drinks that exceed expectations.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare alcohol or non-alcohol beverages for bar and restaurant patrons.
- Interact with customers, take orders and serve drinks and snacks.
- Assess customers’ needs and preferences and make recommendations.
- Mix ingredients to prepare cocktails.
- Plan and present bar menu.
- Restock and replenish bar inventory and supplies.
- Stay guest focused and nurture an excellent guest experience.
- Comply with all food and beverage regulations.
- Maintain standards of hygiene and cleanliness in all bar areas.
- Check drinks presentations and temperature to ensure quality.
- Ensure that the bar is set-up and ready for service.
- Conduct fridge temperature checks at the beginning and end of each shift.
- Assist management in taking bar stock.
Requirements
- Grade 12
- At least 2-3 years previous experience as a Barman in a high-end property
- Excellent wine knowledge
