About the Role
A highly organized and results-driven Logistics Controller is sought after by a renowned company in Port Elizabeth to join their dynamic operation. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating all logistic activities, managing stock control, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring cost-effective procurement of goods and services to support operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate inbound and outbound logistics operations.
- Monitor stock levels and manage inventory control.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and relevant regulations.
- Maintain accurate logistics documentation and reporting.
- Source and evaluate suppliers based on cost, quality, and reliability.
- Negotiate pricing, contracts, and service level agreements.
- Issue purchase orders and monitor order progress.
- Manage and reconcile procurement documentation and invoices.
Requirements
- National Diploma or Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Procurement, or similar related field.
- 3 – 5 years’ experience in a logistics controller, procurement, or similar role.
- Proven procurement and supplier management experience.
- Strong knowledge of inventory management systems and/or ERP software.
- Excellent communication and people skills.
