About the Role
The General Manager (Venue Operations) at HotelJobs is a critical commercial support function that ensures the operational excellence of The Venue, enabling the Sales Team to achieve their revenue targets. This role plays a vital part in translating operational excellence into high conversion rates, strong client retention, and long-term business sustainability.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily venue operations and event execution
- Ensure consistent delivery of high-quality service standards
- Maintain and improve Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to support operational efficiency and scalability
- Ensure the venue is always client-ready and sales-ready
- Act as a strategic operational partner to Sales, supporting booking and revenue targets
- Participate in key client meetings where operational leadership presence is required
- Provide feedback to Sales on capacity, operational constraints, and improvement opportunities
- Oversee the end-to-end client experience from confirmation to execution
- Manage escalations and high-level client relationships when required
- Drive repeat bookings and referral opportunities through exceptional execution
Requirements
- Strong commercial acumen with a proven track record of driving revenue growth
- Proven operational management experience in a hospitality or events setting
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work under pressure and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Relevant degree or diploma in Hospitality Management or related field
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management or related field (LLB or equivalent not required)
