About the Role

A well-established law firm is seeking a motivated and dynamic Attorney to join its Randburg office. The successful candidate will have solid experience in general litigation, particularly involving corporate clients, debt collections, and family law. We are open to candidates who are adaptable and interested in expanding into additional areas of law.

Key Responsibilities

  • Handling general litigation matters for corporate and individual clients
  • Managing debt collection matters, including drafting summonses, default judgments, and enforcement processes
  • Attending to family law matters, including:
  • Divorces
  • Maintenance applications
  • Domestic violence and protection orders
  • Child custody and access disputes
  • Conducting legal research
  • Attending court appearances in the High Court and Magistrate’s Court
  • Consulting with clients and counsel
  • Managing files and ensuring compliance with deadlines
  • Building and maintaining strong client relationships

Requirements

  • Admitted Attorney of the High Court of South Africa
  • 2–5 years post-admission experience
  • Strong experience in general litigation (High Court and Magistrate’s Court)
  • Commercial and corporate litigation
  • Debt Collections
  • Family Law
  • Excellent drafting and legal research skills
  • Strong communication and negotiation abilities
