About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Substation Design Engineer to join our engineering team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the design and engineering of high-voltage substations, ensuring compliance with industry standards, client specifications, and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design HV/MV substations (AIS & GIS) from concept through detailed design
  • Prepare single line diagrams (SLDs), schematics, wiring diagrams, and layout drawings
  • Develop protection & control philosophies
  • Perform primary and secondary design calculations
  • Coordinate with civil, protection, and commissioning teams
  • Review vendor drawings and technical documentation
  • Ensure compliance with IEC, IEEE, and local utility standards

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering
  • 38 years of experience in substation design (132kV and above preferred)
  • Strong knowledge of protection & control systems
  • Experience with design tools such as AutoCAD, ETAP, DIgSILENT, or similar
  • Familiarity with IEC/IEEE standards
