About the Role
All Star Placements is seeking an experienced Tracking Controller to join our team in Sandton. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for capturing and analyzing tracking data on MS Excel, ensuring accurate and timely updates to our software system. You will also build relationships with service providers and provide consolidated tracking reports to port warehouses.
Key Responsibilities
- Accurately capture tracking data on MS Excel
- Follow the progress of all vehicle movements throughout Southern Africa
- Ensure all details are updated on the Software System accurately and on time
- Analyze tracking data supplied by LSP to identify potential delays and inconsistencies
- Provide accurate and on-time reporting for all Loaded, Offload, In-transit cargo, including scheduling, routing, and tracking
- Build and maintain relationships with all Service Providers
- Consolidated tracking to be provided to all Port warehouses for which cargo is destined
- Close off all Tracking on the Software System once confirmed receipted into warehouse
Requirements
- At least grade 12
- A minimum of 2 years proven track record of success
- Previous experience in Tracking of trucks would be an advantage
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify risks and find improvements
- Excellent Excel Skills
- Computer literate
- Good communication skills
