About the Role

We are seeking a qualified Diesel Mechanic to join our team in Cape Town. As a key member of our maintenance department, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient repair and maintenance of our heavy-duty vehicles, including trucks and buses. Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on heavy-duty vehicles, including brake and airbrake systems
• Conduct diagnostic tests to identify issues with vehicle systems
• Develop and implement effective repair plans to minimize downtime
• Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient use of resources
• Maintain a high level of productivity in a fast-paced environment

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years experience working on heavy-duty vehicles, including trucks and buses
• Valid/Legal SA code 10 or 14 license with PDP (Professional Driver’s Licence)
• Valid/Legal SA ID
• Strong knowledge of brake and airbrake systems
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail

Qualifications

• Formal education in a relevant field (e.g. National Diploma in Automotive Repair)
