About the Role
Our client, a leader in the commercial engineering sector, is seeking a meticulous and professional Payroll Administrator to join their Germiston-based team. This role requires an individual who can take full ownership of the payroll cycle while providing high-level administrative support to the HR department.
Key Responsibilities
- Full Function Payroll End-to-End Processing: Manage the complete weekly and monthly payroll cycle for all staff.
- Data Integrity: Capture and verify new engagements, terminations, leave, overtime, and varied deductions.
- Statutory Compliance: Ensure all submissions (PAYE, UIF, SDL) are accurate and on time.
- SARS Submissions: Expert handling of EMP201 and EMP501 submissions via eFiling.
- Financial Reconciliation: Reconcile payroll reports against General Ledger accounts to ensure zero variance.
- Reporting: Generate payslips and detailed payroll reports for management review.
- Employee Lifecycle: Facilitate seamless onboarding/offboarding and draft all employment contracts.
- Recruitment Support: Manage job postings, CV screening, and interview scheduling.
- Compliance: Ensure all HR activities align with the BCEA, LRA, and internal company policies.
Requirements
- Education: Matric (Grade 12) is essential.
- A tertiary qualification in Payroll, HR, or Finance is highly advantageous.
- Experience: 35 years of solid experience in a Full Function Payroll role.
- Software: PaySpace experience is a significant advantage.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and SARS eFiling is required.
