About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated Sales Engineer to join our team in Ekurhuleni. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for maintaining and growing relationships with existing customers, identifying new business opportunities, and driving revenue growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and grow relationships with existing customers
- Conduct regular customer visits and identify new business opportunities
- Develop new customers within allocated industries and regions
- Handle customer enquiries, RFQs, quotations, and sales orders
- Interpret technical customer requirements and perform product selections
- Compile and submit tenders accurately
- Follow up on open orders with Stores, Procurement, and Factory departments
- Ensure company margin structures and gross profit targets are maintained
- Assist with exhibitions, roadshows, golf days, and customer events
- Maintain professional communication and customer service standards
- Complete CRM and customer visit reports accurately and timeously
Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Business Management, or related field
- OR equivalent industry experience
- Minimum 3 years external sales experience within: Industrial transmission components, Brakes, Gearboxes, Couplings, Material handling equipment
- SAP or ERP system experience (advantageous)
- Valid drivers license
- Willingness to travel locally and into Sub-Saharan Africa when required
