About the Role

A well-established and reputable law firm located in the heart of the Cape Winelands is seeking a Junior Conveyancer & Notary to join their Cape Winelands offices. The successful candidate will assist with bond and transfer registrations, notarial work, and client document execution, requiring professionalism, attention to detail, and strong client relationship-building skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Attending to the signature of transfer and bond documents for all major banks
  • Conducting document signings at the firm’s offices in 2 locations in the Western Cape, as well as at client-preferred locations
  • Preparing and registering long-term lease agreements (notarial leases) and providing legal advice on these matters
  • Preparing and registering antenuptial contracts and other notarial work, with associated legal advice
  • Building and maintaining strong client relationships
  • Ensuring professional presentation and excellent interpersonal skills
  • Being flexible and available to accommodate client schedules and expectations
  • Traveling when required for document execution
  • Maintaining strong attention to detail throughout all processes
  • Supporting a culture of teamwork, collaboration, and a positive work environment

Requirements

  • LLB Degree from an accredited university
  • Admitted Conveyancer and Notary Public
  • 23 years post-admission experience in conveyancing
  • Experience in both bond and transfer registrations
  • Completion of Articles
  • Valid drivers license
  • Experience with Ghost Practice (advantageous)
  • Professional presentation and strong interpersonal skills
  • Willingness to travel and accommodate client schedules

Qualifications

  • LLB Degree from an accredited university
