Hermanus: Accountant / Bookkeeper

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Accountant/Bookkeeper to join our team in Hermanus, Western Cape. As a key member of our practice, you will be responsible for providing high-quality financial services to our clients, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail in all aspects of your work.

Key Responsibilities

  • Reconcile accounts and prepare financial statements up to Trial Balance
  • Ensure statutory compliance with Income Tax, VAT, and PAYE legislation
  • Process payroll and maintain related compliance
  • Prepare and compile financial statements using Caseware (advantage)
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in accordance with SARS eFiling, SARS EasyFile, and uFiling requirements
  • Provide exceptional client service and support to clients

Requirements

  • Post-matric qualification (Degree or Diploma in Accounting / Bookkeeping)
  • Working knowledge of Pastel
  • Strong MS Office Suite skills
  • Experience with SARS eFiling, SARS EasyFile, and uFiling
  • Knowledge of Income Tax, VAT, and PAYE legislation
  • Payroll experience (processing and related compliance)

Qualifications

  • Formal education/certifications in Accounting or Bookkeeping
