About the Role

We are seeking a talented and highly skilled Private Chef to join our client’s luxury villa & estate residence in Hermanus. As a key member of the culinary team, you will be responsible for creating exquisite dishes that exceed our client’s expectations. If you have a passion for food, exceptional people skills, and a keen eye for detail, we want to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide expert guidance to clients to understand their needs, preferences, allergies, and dietary restrictions.
  • Develop recipes for appetizers, salads, soups, main courses, side dishes, and desserts.
  • Create menu plans with various options for selection.
  • Source high-quality ingredients.
  • Prepare breakfast, lunch, dinner, snacks, and meals for reheating.
  • Store and package food for safekeeping.
  • Clean and disinfect kitchen equipment, utensils, and work surfaces.
  • Maintain strict adherence to food hygiene regulations.

Requirements

  • Recognised 1 or 2 years Full-Time Cheffing Qualification.
  • Minimum 3 – 4 years’ experience within a strict fine dining team at a senior level.
  • Ability to engineer and create daily changing dishes.
  • Familiarity with various special dietary needs.
  • Friendly and outgoing personality with excellent communication skills.
