About the Role

Precision CNC Specialist Be the Engine Behind Innovation in Manufacturing

We are seeking a skilled and experienced CNC Programmer to join our team, where you will directly support new product development and client engagement. As a key member of our engineering environment, your expertise will be instrumental in turning technical drawings into high-quality, real-world components.

Key Responsibilities

  • Program CNC machines (Lathe & Milling), using Mastercam
  • Set up machines independently, including tooling, offsets, and inserts
  • Manufacture sample components from technical drawings for client approval
  • Operate CNC Lathe and Milling machines to produce precision parts
  • Select appropriate tooling and machining strategies based on material and design
  • Conduct dimensional inspections using precision measuring equipment
  • Ensure all components meet strict quality and customer specifications
  • Troubleshoot machining issues and optimise processes for efficiency
  • Deliver high-quality parts within tight deadlines, often under pressure
  • Take full ownership of the process from programming through to final inspection

Requirements

  • Trade Qualified: Fitter & Turner or Toolmaker
  • Approximately 5+ years experience in CNC programming and machining
  • Strong experience with both CNC Lathe and Milling machines
  • Proficient in CNC programming (Mastercam)
  • Ability to read and interpret detailed engineering drawings
  • Experience working with a variety of materials
  • Skilled in full machine setup and independent operation
  • Strong understanding of tooling, inserts, and cutting strategies
  • High attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Ability to work independently and meet urgent deadlines
