About the Role

As an Account Manager – Sales for our Lifestyle Brand in Johannesburg, you will play a critical role in driving growth and relationship management of our Corporate Client. This is a front-facing commercial role that requires a unique blend of sales, account management, and operational expertise. You will be responsible for driving up usage of our service by all registered Members, meeting service level agreement metrics, and generating commercially viable ideas to increase profitability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Set agenda for bi-weekly meetings and prepare materials in advance in conjunction with relevant other members of the team across the region.
  • Run monthly and bi-weekly meetings, send internal updates on outcomes, and follow up promptly after each meeting where necessary.
  • Agree on agenda for Bi-monthly meeting with South Africa Senior Management and Key Client Contact, prepare presentations, and relevant documentation.
  • Regular meetings with Johannesburg-based Member Lifestyle Managers to communicate and set priorities for the account.
  • Communicate updates from corporate meetings to ensure the team is fully engaged and briefed on any developments.
  • Ensure all requests are logged properly, in accordance with the Clients guidelines and contractual requirements.
  • Set penetration, request, and renewal targets for all markets and prepare clear and concise report on progress weekly to management.
  • Ensure Monthly reporting is completed accurately and sent out on time and be prepared to answer any queries from The Client.
  • Work closely with the Operations, Communications, and Travel team to scope out new developments required by The Client and ensure they are completed on time as agreed with The Client.
  • Regular meetings/calls with Direct Reports to communicate and set priorities for the account.
  • Assisting The Client with the organization of events for Lifestyle Education and basic requirements.

Requirements

  • 4/5 years in a similar role within a lifestyle or luxury travel company.
  • 3-5 years in Account Management.
  • Ideally exposure to the luxury industry or major advertising/marketing agency.
  • Some operations background with a strong knowledge of developing CRM systems.
  • Budgeting experience on running an account.
