Job Description

Cloud Accountant Location: Office-based in Johannesburg (between office Client sites) Remuneration: R30000 CTC per month We are looking for a technically sharp and client-centric Accountant to join our Clientsgrowing team. This role is designed for a professional who has moved beyond basic bookkeeping and is ready to take full ownership of financial reporting, tax compliance, and client relationships within a cloud-first environment. What Youll Be Responsible For Drafting annual financial statements and managing the full month-end close process, including complex account allocations and journals in Xero. Preparing comprehensive monthly management accounts and interactive reporting packs using Syft Analytics. Overseeing and performing company and income tax return submissions (and/or reviews), along with all other SARS returns including VAT, PAYE, and Provisional Tax. Leading client meetings, drafting engagement letters, and preparing professional proposals for new and existing business. Managing all CIPC-related submissions and ensuring full company secretarial compliance for our client portfolio. Assisting larger clients with complex monthly financial administration, including high-level debtor/creditor reconciliations and specialized invoicing. Leading and supporting Xero implementations for clients Driving Xero implementations and identifying opportunities for automation and process improvement. Training, mentoring, and overseeing the work of junior staff to ensure high-quality output across the team. What Were Looking For Degree in Accounting (Postgraduate qualification or progress toward a professional designation is highly advantageous). A minimum of 3 years of practical experience within an accounting firm environment. Xero Advisor Certification and working knowledge of the platform are mandatory. Experience with Payspace or SimplePay is advantageous Proficiency in Syft Analytics and Draftworx/CaseWare is advantageous Excellent MS Office skills, particularly Excel Exceptional written and verbal skills; you must be comfortable presenting financial data to business owners.
