Job Description

Job Specification Support the organization’s financial operations by maintaining accurate financial records, managing accounts payable and receivable, and assisting with various administrative and personnel tasks Ensuring timely transaction processing, accurate expense tracking, and effective asset management Collaborate with the finance and administrative teams to streamline processes and support smooth business operations Requires a detail-oriented individual with a solid understanding of accounting principles, proficiency in accounting software, and strong organizational skills Prepare and maintain accurate financial records and general ledger entries. Record daily financial transactions, including invoices, payments, and receipts Reconcile bank statements and balance sheet accounts Support accounts payable and accounts receivable processes Prepare monthly financial reports and schedules Maintain proper documentation and organized financial records Assist during internal and external audits by providing required documents Use accounting software (Pastel) and spreadsheets to update financial data accurately and efficiently Reconcile staff claims and employee expense reports Set up and process payment requests in accordance with approval workflows Create and manage Purchase Orders (POs) Conduct supplier vetting Identify discrepancies and report issues to senior accounting staff Follow company accounting policies and procedures Check and process timesheets and external customer expenses for invoicing Track and verify external customer expenses Handle cash requirements, including managing the cashbook, credit card transactions, and depreciation entries Provide administrative support, including managing leave records and assisting with on-boarding and off-boarding processes Minimum Requirements Relevant degree / diploma in finance / accounting 3 years of experience in accounting or finance roles Familiarity with accounting software (e.g., Pastel) Strong attention to detail and accuracy Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office applications Good understanding of financial principles and accounting practices Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Kindly note that by submitting your application for this career opportunity, you agree that Guardian Recruiting may use your application for the purpose of the recruitment and selection of the said position, and thisinformation may be shared with the relevant stakeholders in the business.
