About the Role
The Business Development Manager will be responsible for driving growth and profitability within our sales teams, while providing exceptional client experiences. This role requires a strategic thinker with excellent communication skills, business acumen, and a proven track record in corporate direct sales.
Key Responsibilities
- Recruitment, training & development, and performance management of individuals within the New Sales teams
- Planning & coordination of all functions related to achieving growth budgets as well as general management duties
- Actively leading new sales within each region
- Sales & campaign planning
- Management reporting
- Developing a business plan and sales strategy for the market that ensures attainment of company sales goals and profitability
- Preparing action plans by individuals as well as by team for effective search of sales leads and prospects
- Initiating and coordinating development of action plans to penetrate new markets
- Conducting one-on-one reviews with all Account Executives to build more effective communications, understand training and development needs, and provide insight for the improvement of Account Executives’ sales and activity performance
- Assisting Account Executives in preparation of proposals and presentations
- Accurate and efficient management of sales statistics and reports
Requirements
- Understanding of financial management principles
- Good prospecting, negotiation, and presentation skills
- CRM proficiency
- Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft PowerPoint
- Client liaison and customer service principles
- Sound business acumen
- Good strategic planning and execution skills
Qualifications
- Grade 12 Diploma in Business Management
