About the Role
The Clinical Facilitator – Critical Care role at Tower Group is a critical position that requires a highly skilled and experienced nurse to lead and facilitate clinical practices in our Intensive Care Unit. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing expert guidance, support, and education to our nursing staff, ensuring high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide expert clinical leadership and guidance to the nursing team
- Facilitate and coordinate educational programs and workshops for nurses
- Develop and implement continuous improvement projects to enhance patient care
- Mentor and coach nurses to improve their skills and knowledge
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive patient care
- Conduct assessments and evaluations of nursing staff to identify areas for improvement
Requirements
- Current registration with SANC as a Registered General Nurse or equivalent qualification.
- Postgraduate diploma in Medical/Surgical Nursing: General or equivalent as accredited by SANC.
- 5 years proven work experience in a multi-disciplinary Intensive Care Unit including Cardio Thoracic, Neurosurgery, Vascular, General Surgery and Medical is essential.
- Postgraduate diploma in Nursing Education or equivalent as accredited by SANC.
- Assessorship certified.
- A working knowledge of Trauma, Midwifery and Paediatrics.
- Knowledge of scope of practice of all Nursing categories as well as the regulations of the SANC.
