About the Role
Assegai Recruitment (Pty) Ltd is seeking an experienced Project Manager for our client in Sandton, to lead the energy and infrastructure projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the full project lifecycle, collaborating with clients and Arup teams, and ensuring compliance with design standards and regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing the full project lifecycle, from stakeholder engagement and risk management to design, construction, and quality assurance.
- Developing and implementing detailed project execution plans to ensure successful delivery.
- Collaborating closely with clients and Arup teams to integrate technical activities and achieve project objectives.
- Ensuring compliance with design standards, legal regulations, environmental requirements, and permits. Identifying and mitigating project risks while maintaining strong relationships with governments, communities, suppliers, contractors, and team members.
- Driving quality control measures to meet performance objectives and deliver outstanding service to clients.
- Overseeing project progress, reporting to senior management and stakeholders.
- Applying technical knowledge in energy and infrastructure, leveraging the company’s knowledge network to adopt best practices.
- Demonstrating a solid understanding of construction processes and project delivery.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, environmental science, construction management, project management, or a related field.
- ECSA: Professional Engineer
- Other relevant certifications such as Certified Energy Manager or SACPCMP
- Experience in the renewable energy sector (wind, solar, and other sustainable power projects).
