About the Role
Omega HR Solutions is seeking an experienced Accounting Lecturer to join our client institution based in Bellville, Cape Town. As an Accounting Lecturer, you will play a key role in developing future finance professionals and ensuring academic integrity and compliance with SETA/QCTO standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging, learner-centred facilitation across theory, practical and workplace modules
- Develop lesson plans and assessment schedules
- Conduct assessments and manage Portfolios of Evidence
- Ensure compliance with institutional and regulatory requirements
- Provide structured learner support and mentorship
- Support internship preparation and workplace placement
- Engage with industry partners to source workplace learning opportunities
- Contribute to online learning material development
Requirements
- Relevant qualification in Accounting, Financial Administration, Bookkeeping or related field (NQF 6 or higher preferred)
- Assessor and/or Moderator accreditation (ETDP SETA SOR)
- Minimum 2 years facilitation experience
- Minimum 2 years assessor experience
- Experience in a FET College, Private College or Workplace Training environment
- Strong knowledge of financial administrative processes (invoicing, reconciliations, record keeping, basic accounting)
- Proficient in MS Office, especially Excel
- Familiarity with LMS platforms
- Valid South African drivers licence
