Job Description
- Blasting Certificate for Scheduled Mines
- Minimum 5 years underground mining experience
- At least 2 years in a supervisory role (Shift Boss level)
- Strong knowledge of underground mining operations and safety standards
- Good leadership and communication skills
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate underground mining activities during the shift
- Ensure compliance with the Mine Health and Safety Act (MHSA)
- Monitor production targets and ensure they are achieved
- Enforce safety standards and procedures underground
- Conduct workplace inspections and risk assessments
- Lead and manage underground teams, including miners and operators
- Ensure proper communication between shifts and departments
- Investigate incidents and implement corrective actions
Advantageous
