Job Description
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the full accounting function up to trial balance
- Prepare accurate monthly management accounts and variance analyses
- Oversee reconciliations for debtors, creditors, bank, and general ledger accounts
- Maintain fixed asset registers in line with company policies
- Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end processes
- Assist with financial audits and ensure all documentation meets pharma compliance standards
- Monitor cost controls and assist with budgeting and forecasting
- Ensure financial records align with pharmaceutical industry regulations and internal SOPs
- Work closely with supply chain and operations to track stock, costing, and batch-related financial data
Minimum Requirements
- BCom Accounting degree (or equivalent)
- Completed SAICA or SAIPA Articles
- 1–3 years’ postarticles experience
- Experience in the pharmaceutical, FMCG, manufacturing, or similar regulated environment advantageous
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and internal controls
- Advanced Excel and experience with major accounting systems
- High attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills
